The 20 most popular hotels in Los Angeles

Los Angeles has been in the spotlight lately, what with an entire Oscar-winning movie paying tribute to it.

So where do most people who visit La La Land stay? It turns out that one of the most popular places is the airport.

More than half of the hotels on the list, compiled by Expedia for USA TODAY, were located at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). It makes sense as it is one of the busiest airports in the world, with 45.6 million departing passengers a year.

From June 30, 2015, to June 30, 2016, the Westin Los Angeles Airport was the most in demand hotel.

Other popular hotels included the Renaissance Los Angeles Airport Hotel and the Hilton Los Angeles Airport.

Other properties outside of LAX were the Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites in downtown L.A. and the Westin Pasadena.
