Alabama had a big loss in its dominating win against No. 6 Texas A&M.

S: Eddie Jackson, Alabama

All-America safety Eddie Jackson was carted off the field with a broken leg after being tackled returning a punt in the fourth quarter. The senior is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Alabama coach Nick Saban talked about his star player after the 33-14 victory.

“We’re certainly going to miss him, but what a great player, what a great competitor, and what a great guy to have in this program for the time he’s been here," Saban said. "He’s done a fantastic job for us and I’m just sick for him and his family. I hate it that it’s one of the things about sports, all sports, and that we have to deal with sometimes as injuries. It’s unfortunate, especially when it happens to a great guy and a very, very good player."

Jackson has scored three of the Crimson Tide’s 12 non-offense touchdowns this season with two coming on punt returns and another on an interception return.
