ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The temperature reached an unseasonably warm 80 degrees Fahrenheit here Monday afternoon, which is about 30 degrees warmer than usual for October.

Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh, speaking at his weekly radio show, said it felt like he was in the Mediterranean.

"Global warming is good for Michigan," Harbaugh said. "It's good for recruiting."

The only major downside? When it's a beautiful day, like Monday, the first thing any Michigan native says is: Wait until winter. He wants to enjoy the nice weather.

But Harbaugh added that he, personally, enjoys experiencing all four seasons — including winter.

"I like the feeling of snow crunching under my feet if I have the proper footwear," he said.
