INDEPENDENCE, Ohio – LeBron James dismissed the notion he is fatigued.

Asked if guarding Kevin Durant and other Golden State Warriors players was taking its toll on him, James answered, “Do I look tired? I feel great. I’m averaging a triple-double in the Finals. I’m pretty good, I would think.”

James met with reporters at Wednesday morning’s shootaround ahead of Game 3 later in the day (9 p.m. ET, ABC).

Yes, James is averaging a triple-double in the Finals (28.5 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists) but the Cavs are also trailing Golden State 2-0 in the best-of-7 series.

“We have an opportunity to protect home. If we do that, we put ourselves back in the series,” James said.

Rachel Nichols of ESPN also asked James if he felt the Warriors were not only trying to win the title but embarrass teams along the way because of the way they were treated after blowing a 3-1 lead in last season’s Finals.

“They’re playing exceptionally well,” James said, “and I don’t get involved in what’s going on in the summertime and things of that nature because I’m too far removed from those talks and communications and all the things that go on.

“At the end of the day, I want to win it just as bad as they do. Obviously, they still have a bad taste in their mouth from what happened last year. We had one in our mouth last year from what happened the year before. I’ve had a few bad tastes in my mouth from what happened in the Finals. I’ve always had that feeling so it never changed for me.”
