Jimmy Butler, Anthony Davis named NBA players of the week

The Chicago Bulls' Jimmy Butler and the New Orleans Pelican's Anthony Davis have been named NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played from Monday, Nov. 14 through Sunday, Nov. 20.

Butler, who led the Bulls to a 3-1 week, averaged 27.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists, including a season-high 40-point outing on Sunday in a victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. On the season, he's averaging a career-high 25.1 points and 6.1 rebounds and is shooting 47.3% from the field and 41.7% from beyond the arc. 

Out West, Davis led the Pelicans — who started 0-8 but are now 4-10 — to a 3-0 week behind a league-high 33.7 points, as well as 13.7 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 2.0 steals. This season, he leads the league in scoring (31.7 points) and blocks (3.0)

Other players who received votes this week were Kemba Walker, Wilson Chandler, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Blake Griffin, Mike Conley, Marc Gasol, Hassan Whiteside, Carmelo Anthony, Kristaps Porzingis, CJ McCollum and Kawhi Leonard.
