Senior Kate Snook tossed a one-hit shutout to help the Port Washington softball team top Plymouth, 8-0, on March 28.

Snook struck out 15 and walked just two for the Pirates, who look to be solid this season behind Snook, a first-team all-North Shore Conference choice in 2016.

Senior catcher Erin Jozwowski is also back after earning all-conference honorable mention last season.

"I believe we will be competitive in the North Shore," head coach Bob Snook said. "We have six returning senior starters and one up-and-coming freshman in Keelie Schumacher."

Against Plymouth, Kate Snook went 2-for-4 at the plate, along with Jozwowski and junior Morgan Esselman.

The Pirates will play at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at Cedarburg, weather permitting.
