Blake Peiffer and Lukas Burke both went unbeaten in seven matches to help Port Washington snare second place in its division at the Northern Exposure wrestling meet last week.
Peiffer was 7-0 at 113 pounds, and Burke posted the same mark at 170 pounds for the Pirates, who won five of seven dual meets over the two-day period of Dec. 28-29 at Merrill.
Going 6-1 were Michael Murphy at 160 pounds and Cody Lewis at heavyweight.
Notching 5-2 records were Oliver Rosado (120), Sal Gauthier (152) and Tristan Griswold (182), and also finishing with winning marks were Preston Makoutz (132), Jake Wiesmueller (138), Brett Grisar (145) and Parker Prusinsky (195).
Port downed Eden Prairie (Minn), 57-17; Rosholt, 62-7; Edgar, 60-15; and Kewaskum, 56-21, and lost to Menomonee Falls, 32-28, on the first day of competition.
In bracket action the next day, the Pirates topped Beaver Dam, 54-21, and lost to New Berlin Combined, 35-27, to wind up second in their division behind New Berlin.
Port takes on Homestead at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at home in a North Shore Conference dual meet.
