FOR THE WIN

Tiger thinks he's going to break Nicklaus' record

I was excited about Tiger Woods' forthcoming interview with Charlie Rose before, when he was talking about his longing for more of a college experience. Now he's out here talking about breaking Jack's record and golf fans are about to explode with excitement (the interview, by the way, airs on Charlie Rose's PBS show on Thursday night).

Anyway: Apparently Tiger is still pretty bullish about his game despite his recent troubles, because he still thinks he's going to beat Jack's record of 18 majors. As it currently stands, Tiger has 14, the second-most of any other golfer in history.

But he's still trophy hunting! According to the transcript of the interview:

Rose: Do you believe you'll get 18 majors?

Woods: To be honest with you, no.

Rose: You don't?

Woods: No.

Rose: You've accepted that?

Woods: I've accepted I'm going to get more.

Video of the exchange comes at about the two minute mark below:

Lock it in. A final act of Tiger's career is coming. Deeeeeep breaths, people. Deep breaths.
