Grayson Allen play was hustle not dirty per Florida State coach

Grayson Allen has earned himself a bad reputation for tripping players in a game, and it may have gotten worse as he appeared to push a Florida State coach during a play on Tuesday night.

All was hustling for a loose ball, went into the FSU bench, and when he made contact with FSU coach Dennis Gates, appeared to shove him.

It certainly looks like Allen gave Gates an extra shove at the end. More than was necessary to protect himself at least, but Gates doesn't see it that way. He sees it as a hustle play.

Allen scored just nine points and missed the last 5:38 of the game with a "blow to the head" according to interim head coach Jeff Capel. Allen said that he was fine after the game.

Florida State wasn't backing down from the Duke name

No. 10 Florida State defeated No. 7 Duke 88-72 after a 34-22 run over the final 10 minutes of the game.
