HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — Donald Trump has been criticized by Hillary Clinton and others for not having the temperament to serve as commander in chief, but he was having none of it at Monday night's debate.

Following a defense of his claim that he'd opposed the Iraq war from the beginning, which fact checkers have disputed, the GOP presidential nominee sought to defend his temperament.

“I have a much better temperament” than Clinton, he said.

He continued, saying his temperament was "my strongest asset, maybe by far.”

How would he characterize it specifically? It's a "winning temperament," he said.

Clinton didn't seem convinced.

"Woo, OK," she said, before beginning her response.
