Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump fields a question during the first Republican presidential debate hosted by Fox News and Facebook at the Quicken Loans Arena on Aug. 6, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Hours after the first GOP debate, Donald Trump did what he does best — wage war on Twitter.

In a series of late-night tweets, Trump blasted Fox News moderator Megyn Kelly for singling him out during the debate.

In perhaps one of the most memorable moments of the night, Kelly asked Trump to explain his often-disparaging comments about women.

"You've called women 'fat pigs, dogs, slobs, disgusting animals,'" she said.

"Only Rosie O'Donnell," Trump said, cutting Kelly's question off mid-sentence.

Trump took to Twitter to air his frustrations with what he felt was "unprofessional" behavior on Kelly's part.

At 2:40 a.m., Trump tweeted: "Wow, @megynkelly really bombed tonight. People are going wild on twitter! Funny to watch."

For the next two hours, Trump tweeted and retweeted a series of comments about the Fox News moderators, though Kelly was overwhelmingly the target of the rant.

When Trump had exhausted his own insults, he relied on other outraged supporters to assist him.

Trump also had words for political consultant Frank Luntz, who appeared on Fox News following the debate. In the post-debate interview, Luntz spoke with a Republican focus group that was overwhelmingly turned off by Trump's fiery dialogue. At 3:30 a.m., Trump went after Luntz, referring to the consultant as a "low class slob" in a tweet.

Kelly, who was once a corporate lawyer and is currently the host of Fox's The Kelly File, has yet to respond to Trump's tirade.
