Burglary

·Beer and liquor valued at more than $500, an $1,800 wooden framed water cooler and a flag pin were taken from North Shore Country Club, 3100 W. County Club Drive, on July 14 or 15. Two golf carts, removed from the cart garage, were driven around but no damage to the course was reported.

Theft

·A 48-year-old Mequon woman was cited for theft from her employer, Metro Market, 11558 N. Port Washington Road, at noon July 18. The woman had illegally scanned coupons and then kept the money for those coupons, totaling more than $4,300 from May 23 to July 16.

·Attempted entry to three cars with windows broken was reported in the 11600 block of West Mequon Road on July 19 or 20.

·Two unlocked cars were entered but nothing taken in the 9000 block of West Poplar Drive and the 10400 block of West Freistadt Road on July 19 or 20.

·A wallet and contents, including credit cards, was taken from an office at Concordia University, 12800 N. Lake Shore Drive, before 11:30 a.m. July 20. Cards were used to charge more than $800 at Walmart in Brown Deer and Walgreens in Mequon.

Drug possession

·A 30-year-old Glendale man was cited for possession of marijuana, OWI and refusal to take a breath test after he was stopped for driving without taillights in the 3900 block of West Pioneer Road at 12:10 a.m. July 16. There was a strong odor of burnt marijuana in the car and the man, who said he had smoked some a short time before, had a blunt and a pill bottle with marijuana.

OWI

·A 55-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for OWI causing injury and following too close after she ran into a motorcycle at West Donges Bay and North Wasaukee roads at 9:18 pm. July 16. Flight for Life was called to the scene and the motorcyclist taken to a hospital. The woman had a preliminary BAC of 0.16 and was taken for a blood draw.

·A 40-year-old Mequon man was cited for OWI and driving left of center after he was reported weaving in traffic, almost hitting other cars at West Mequon and North Granville roads at 4:54 p.m. July 16. The man said he had been playing golf and had a 'couple of beers.' His BAC was 0.14.

·A 34-year-old Franklin woman was cited for OWI, refusal to take a breath test and speeding 42 mph in a 35 mph zone in the 10700 block of North Port Washington Road at 2:37 a.m. July 18.

·A 50-year-old Mequon woman was cited for OWI and unreasonable and imprudent speed after crashing her moped and injuring herself in the 5600 block of West Donges Bay Road at 9:12 p.m. July 20. The woman, who was not wearing a helmet, lost control of her moped as she drove over railroad tracks. She was taken to a hospital for injuries and a blood draw.

·A 27-year-old Glendale man was cited for his second OWI and driving with a revoked license after he was stopped for no front plate and speeding about 50 mph in a 40 mph zone in the 6900 block of West Mequon road at 2:05 a.m. July 21. The man, when asked why he continued to drink and drive, said 'Because I'm stupid.' His BAC was 0.13.

Other

·Two 20-year-old men of Mequon and Milwaukee and four Mequon women, two 18-year-olds and a 19- and 20-year-old, were cited for underage drinking and one of the men and two of the women also for resisting after a TIP411 call reporting many cars and possibly underage drinking in the 300 block of Eastwyn Bay Drive at 12:49 a.m. July 17. As police approached the front door, someone yelled 'The cops are here!' Their BACs ranged from 0.03 to 0.23.
