MEQUON - Homestead High School Assistant Principal Christopher Gray has been named the next principal of Donges Bay Elementary School.

During his four years as Homestead's assistant principal, Gray led the school's work in positive behavior supports and social responsibility. He has provided ongoing leadership and vision for the school’s redesign of instructional delivery models.

Further, he has directed the school’s efforts to identify and provide targeted intervention and support to students, working closely with Homestead’s instructional specialists and the school psychologist. As an assistant principal, Gray has collaborated with students, their families and student services personnel to support students in their growth and achievement.

Prior to his time at Homestead, Gray served as a special education teacher in both the Elmbrook School District and the Green Bay Area School District.

“Chris’s educational philosophy is grounded in establishing trust, communication and collaboration,” said Mequon-Theinsville School District Superintendent Matthew Joynt. “In his role at Homestead, Chris demonstrated an ability to be solutions-focused while building relationships with all stakeholders. I am confident that the knowledge, skills and dedication Chris brings to this leadership role will serve to sustain and enhance the academic achievement and personal growth of all Donges Bay students.”
