MEQUON - An Alaskan Malamute dog sled demonstration is among the activities planned for Mequon's fifth annual Winter Frolic.
The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Mequon Nature Preserve, 8200 W. County Line Road.
Other activities include tractor rides, a petting zoo, sleigh rides, a winter marketplace, kids craft corner, ice fishing, bonfires and snowman building.
There are a few events on the schedule, also, including live music with Mississippi Sawyer, and an REI workshop from 10 a.m. to noon. Additionally, an amateur lumberjack competition will be held at 10:30 a.m. From noon to 3 p.m., a meet-and-greet and story time with Frozen characters will take place. Also, from 2 to 3 p.m., a Native American Dance by Ronnie Preston will be offered.
