CEDARBURG - The All Star Monster Truck Tour is coming to the 158th Ozaukee County Fair.

The trucks will compete in various events including a trick competition, racing, and freestyle at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6 on the fairgrounds. The grandstand gates open at noon with a driver meet-and-greet until 1 p.m.

General seating tickets for the show are available online at or at the gate (if not sold out) costing $12 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under.

The five-day fair is held at Fireman’s Park, W65N796 Washington Ave. in Cedarburg. It runs from noon to midnight on Wednesday, Aug. 2. On Aug. 3-5 the fair runs from 8 a.m. until midnight. On the final day, Aug. 6, the fair opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 8 p.m.

The Ozaukee County Fair is one of the last free county fairs in the state, according to a news release about the monstrous addition.

Ozaukee County Fair President Mark Larson said in exchange for free admission when the fair first launched officials encouraged people to show their support by attending value-priced grandstand shows. He said the few paid admission events are what keep the fair still going strong today.

One example of fundraising is the Barnyard 5K Run/Walk which started in 2015. All proceeds help keep the fair free for all.

“That theory of community giving has helped support the fair since the Great Depression,” Larson said. “Our tried and true truck and tractor pulls and demolition derbies are a huge hit with fans, and this year we’re thrilled to be able to offer the All Star Monster Truck Show for the first time ever.”

The fair, which began in 1859, also offers more traditional forms of entertainment such as animal shows, live music, a full midway and a fireworks show. The event will also feature truck and tractor pulls on Aug. 2 and Aug. 3, demolition derbies Aug. 4 and Aug. 5, horse shows, livestock exhibitions, bingo, magic shows and other events.

Some of the trucks to be featured at the fair include the world’s largest ATV “Quad Chaos,” the original monster dump truck “Dirt Crew,” and “Ballistic,” which will be driven by 15-year veteran Mac Plecker, according to the release.

Additionally, the Kids Power Wheels Demo Derby will be joining the lineup this year.

President of All Star Motorsport Productions Bryan Wagner said they are excited to bring their “high flying monster trucks” to Ozaukee County.

"These are some of the best monster trucks from across the nation that will converge in Cedarburg, ready to lay it all on the line for the fans,” Wagner said. “We've worked closely with the entire fair board to design the biggest and baddest course to let these All Star Monster Trucks really fly on Sunday, August 6.”
