Theft

1A man was seen taking more than $100 of liquor and paper plates and walking out of Metro Market, 11558 N. Port Washington Road, at 6:38 p.m. March 18. Employees were able to get his license plate number and police are looking for a 24-year-old Mequon man.

Drug possession

2Two Brown Deer men, 22 and 23, were cited for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia and the 23-year-old also for illegal possession of prescription medication after their car ran a stop sign in the 11000 block of North Lake Shore Drive at 12:18 a.m. March 21. There was a strong odor of marijuana in the car and K-9 Iron was called to the scene. He hit inside the car, where 31.6 grams of marijuana was found along with a scale, pipes with residue and about 20 pills of prescription medication.

3An 18-year-old Muskego man was cited for possession of illegally obtained prescription medication and underage drinking after Campus Safety received a report of someone smoking in a room at the Chemnitz Dorm at Concordia University, 12800 N. Lake Shore Drive, at 5:55 p.m. March 21. The student was found with Xanax and Alprazolam and a cup of vodka and Sprite. He said he was stressed out from exams.

OWI

4A 34-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for his second OWI and driving left of center in the 10400 block of North Cedarburg Road at 3:03 a.m. March 17. The man smelled of alcohol but denied drinking, at first, later saying he had three beers and two shots. His BAC was 0.22 and he was taken for a blood draw.

5A 60-year-old Bayside woman was cited for her second OWI, resisting/obstruction, unreasonable speed, open intoxicants and refusal to take a breath test after she passed a squad car and sped away going 69 mph in a 35 mph zone in the 10800 block of North Port Washington Road at 10:52 p.m. March 20. When stopped, the woman got out of her car holding a cup of beer. When she saw police, she quickly poured it out. A can of beer was found in her car. She slurred her words, smelled of alcohol and when asked if she’d been drinking said, “Oh my stars and little fishes.” A warrant was issued and she was taken for a blood draw.

Other

6A 47-year-old Milwaukee man, an employee, was cited for disorderly conduct after he and another employee began arguing in the break room at McDonald’s, 11250 N. Port Washington Road, at 9:30 a.m. March 17. The man, who threatened the other employee saying he could get a gun, later apologized for his behavior. An off-duty police officer was at the scene and called police.

7A 46-year-old Mequon woman was cited for possession of stolen property and a warrant from the state of Georgia after a rent-a-car reported as stolen out of Georgia was found in her garage in the 8700 block of West Sunnyvale Road at 6:35 a.m. March 20. Also cited on outstanding warrants were an 18-year-old Mequon man and a 37-year-old Milwaukee man. The woman had rented the car, a Dodge valued at $30,000, in December in Georgia and drove it to Mequon.
