1A pair of Beats by Dre headphones valued at $200 were taken from a classroom at Cedarburg High School, 600 Evergreen Blvd., on Feb. 23 or 24 and reported March 3.

2An open classroom window was reported at Thorson Elementary, 900 Keup Road, at 8 a.m. March 6. It was last seen closed after school March 4. Mud was found on the window sill but nothing was reported taken from the room.

3Charges of battery and mistreatment of animals have been referred to the district attorney on a 44-year-old Cedarburg man on allegations he attacked a woman causing injury and attempted to drown a dog in a bath tub in the 5800 block of Columbia Road on March 5. Police were alerted when they saw the woman, who appeared upset, walking a dog. The woman told them she was from Kentucky and met the man on the dating website Plenty of Fish. He then picked her up in Kentucky and they returned to his Cedarburg home. The woman, who had injury to her back and reported the man pushed her down the stairs and attempted to kill the dog, was referred to Advocates of Ozaukee. The man denied the allegations.

4A 29-year-old Cedarburg woman was cited for shoplifting clothing, jewelry and sunglasses at Shopko, 1771 Wisconsin Ave., at 9:29 a.m. March 3. The woman removed tags and sensors from the items and then put those items in a bag and her purse, and attempted to leave the store.

5A 35-year-old Port Washington woman was cited for her second shoplifting after taking $145 of women’s clothing at Target, 1250 N. Port Washington Road, at 3 p.m. March 3. The woman said she was having a hard time financially but knew what she did was “a bad mistake.”
