Burglary

1Two construction trailers were broken into and equipment taken at two homes under construction in the 10200 block of North Wildwood Court, one occurring between Dec. 8 and 12 and the other Dec. 11 or 12. One company reported more than $1,800 of equipment taken and the other more than $2,500, including air compressors, nail guns, hammer drills and chop saws.

Theft

2A cell phone valued at about $600 and truck keys were taken from an unlocked locker at the Ozaukee Ice Center, 5505 W. Pioneer Road, between 10 and 11 a.m. Dec. 10.

Drug possession

3A 26-year-old Bayside man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after he was seen smoking marijuana in his welding class at MATC, 5555 W. Highland Road, at 11 a.m. Dec. 15. Campus Safety reported that the man blew the marijuana smoke into a ventilator.

Other

4A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for hit and run, hit and run causing injury, fleeing and second-degree endangering safety after he ran a red light and hit two cars near North Wauwatosa Road and Western Avenue in Cedarburg at 3:44 p.m. Dec. 12. The man sped away and there was no pursuit. However, with the help of K-9 Iron, the man was located after abandoning his car and taken into custody in the 9400 block of North 67th Street.

A resident reported being the victim of a fraud after responding to an ad to rent a home in New Orleans on Craigslist on Dec. 14. For about a month, he had been corresponding with someone sending and receiving numerous emails. After he found a rental, he wire-transferred $2,356 to reserve that property. As soon as the money was sent, the emails stopped, and there was no rental.
