1An 18-year-old Cedarburg man was cited for theft of 10 lunches valued at about $49 at Cedarburg High School, 600 Evergreen Blvd., over the past two weeks and reported Nov. 21. The man, a student, admitted taking the food. The school has requested restitution.
2A purse and contents, including an iPhone valued at $890, was taken from a residence in the 6500 block of Cleveland Street on Nov. 23 or 24.
3A 31-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of marijuana, a warrant and warned for speeding 49 mph in a 35 mph zone on Pioneer Road at Cedar Valley Drive at 3:15 a.m. Nov. 29. The man had 2.4 grams of marijuana along with marijuana cigarettes, some used. The case has been referred to the district attorney.
Residents reported being the victim of a scam after wiring $500 to buy a Husky puppy they saw for sale on the web site “allstarhuskies.net” Nov. 23. Two days later, they received an email saying they needed to send $1,000 more to pay for insurance for the puppy’s delivery. The Better Business Bureau has identified this website as a scam and have identified a suspect in Abilene, Texas.
4A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI and possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and fireworks after he was seen driving a heavily damaged car on Washington Street at I-43 at 9:42 p.m. Nov. 23. The man argued with police, using profane language. His BAC was 0.12. After he was taken into custody, police found the drugs and 14 bottle rockets in his car.
5A 26-year-old town of Grafton man was cited for obstruction and driving with a suspended license and his passenger, a 20-year-old Grafton man, for underage drinking – his BAC was 0.12 -- at 11th Avenue and Bridge Street at 1:53 a.m. Nov. 24. When stopped, the driver gave police someone else’s ID but then identified himself.
6A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI and failure to stop for a sign on West Walters Street at First Avenue at 2:17 a.m. Nov. 24. The man who admitted having a “few drinks,” failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of 0.17.
7A 33-year-old Fredonia man was cited for bail jumping, violation of his parole and theft of clothing, including pants and Nike shoes, from Kohl’s, 1050 N. Port Washington Road, at 12:16 a.m. Nov. 25. The man fled on foot wearing some of the stolen items but was stopped. He was with a 34-year-old town of Grafton woman who was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
8A 40-year-old Grafton man was cited for shoplifting and price switching at Meijer, 1600 Port Washington Road, at 10:52 a.m. Nov. 25. The man put two vacuum cleaners into a cart and checked himself out after switching prices, ringing up one of the cleaners for about $7, an undercharge of over $390. The man left but was identified and came to the police department. When questioned, he said it wasn’t his fault that the self-checkout rang up an incorrect price.
9Credit and debit cards along with other items were taken from three unlocked cars in the 700 block of Eighth Avenue, the 1000 block of Third Avenue and the 1100 block of Hickory Street overnight Nov. 26 or 27. Some of the stolen cards were used at stores in Brookfield Square, including Champs, Buckle, Boston Store and Sak’s Off 5th for more than $1,300.
10A 77-year-old Grafton man was cited for reckless driving/endangering safety, hit and run and disorderly conduct after he rammed his truck into the rear of a woman’s car at least three times in the 1000 block of First Avenue at 4 p.m. Nov. 28. The woman said she had stopped her car in the road to speak to a friend when the man hit her car and then got out of his truck yelling profanities and attempted to hit her. She took a photo of him and his license and the man was located.
