Theft

1Three Milwaukee women 28, 30 and 34, and a 59-year-old Fridley, Minnesota, man were cited for shoplifting at both Designer Shoe Warehouse and Marshalls, 11048 and 10984 N. Port Washington Road, at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 5. They first entered Designer Shoes taking shoes valued at $80, then went to Marshalls and again took items. Security at both stores saw them shoplift and called police.

Drug possession

2A 20-year-old Mequon man was cited for possession of marijuana when the car he was in was stopped for speeding in the 11100 block of North Cedarburg Road at 11:54 a.m. Oct. 1. A K-9 Officer came to the scene and indicated in the man’s backpack, where 3.2 grams of marijuana was found. The driver, also a 20-year-old Mequon man, was cited for speeding 52 mph in a 35 mph zone.

3A 17-year-old Thiensville boy was cited for possession of a controlled substance, amphetamines, and underage possession of alcohol at Homestead High School, 5000 W. Mequon Road, at 9:15 a.m. Oct. 4. The boy had 10 pills and a can of beer in his backpack.

4A 45-year-old Glendale woman was cited for possession of 13 pills of an illegally obtained prescription/possession of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license, failure to have insurance and no front license plate in the 10000 block of North Port Washington Road at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 4.

OWI

5A 47-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for OWI after he was seen driving well under the speed limit while weaving in traffic in the 9600 block of North Swan Road at 10:14 p.m. Oct. 1. The man, who said he had three beers, failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of 0.19.

Other

A resident reported an attempted scam after corresponding for a few months with a man she met on an online dating site who said he was in the Army, stationed in Colorado. On Sept. 2, he asked for her bank account number, saying he wanted to deposit money as a “partial down payment for a house they were looking at in Houston” saying he got the money from a Nigerian friend. She gave him the information and then on Sept. 12, he asked for the money back. She then called police and reported no money was deposited or withdrawn.

6A 30-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for disorderly conduct and obstruction after she caused a disturbance, screaming at a relative in the 10400 block of North Cedarburg Road at 11:20 p.m. Sept. 29. The woman was “very intoxicated” and refused to give her name. She struggled with officers and when in a squad car attempted to smash a window. She was taken to a hospital.

A resident reported a scam after meeting a man on an app site who said he was in the military and stationed in France on Sept. 30. They began calling each other and he then asked her to send him $245 via money gram, giving her the name of a woman to send it to, so they could keep talking. She sent the money and on Sept. 30, he said his phone was damaged and could she send him $250 more. She said no and called police.

A 64-year-old Mequon man was cited for substantial battery/domestic violence related after he punched another man in the eye causing injury early morning Oct. 5.

7A 31-year-old Chicago man was cited for fraud after attempting to withdraw money from another person’s account at Johnson Bank, 1555 W. Mequon Road, at 4:22 p.m. Oct. 5. The man had a debit/credit with his name but with the other person’s account number. When denied the withdrawal and confronted about the account, the man fled but was stopped by Thiensville police.
