1A 47-year-old Cedarburg man was cited for theft of a pair of girl’s shoes after witnesses called police reporting a “suspicious male” in the playground area of Cedar Creek Park, 5800 Portland Road at 5:50 p.m. Aug. 10. Police told the man to leave. He left but returned and the stolen shoes were found discarded in bushes. The man also had nine pairs of women’s sandals in his backpack.
2A 37-year-old Grafton woman was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and two warrants after she was stopped for speeding 47 mph in a 35 mph zone at Taunton Avenue and Pioneer Road at 7:37 p.m. Aug. 13. The woman said the reason she was speeding was that her broken foot was stuck on the gas pedal. K-9 Officer Jake was at the scene and hit inside the car, where 2 grams of marijuana was found along with a corn cob plastic pipe with residue in the woman’s make-up bag.
3A 16-year-old Cedarburg boy was cited for theft after taking a $700 bicycle from a yard in the 6700 block of Center Street about 2 p.m. Aug. 14. A witness saw the theft and recognized the boy, who was found along with the bike in the 300 block of Madison Avenue. The bike was returned to the owner.
4A 27-year-old Cedarburg man was cited for his second OWI after he was found slumped over and drooling in his car with a door opened at Fair Street and Madison Avenue at 1:15 a.m. Aug. 17. He smelled strongly of alcohol and at first couldn’t find his license. He also “dozed off” while police were talking to him. He failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of 0.17.
5A 32-year-old Grafton man was cited for disorderly conduct after he was seen urinating near a woman’s car at the rear of the 1400 block of 12th Avenue at 1 a.m. Aug. 10. The woman yelled at the man who yelled back, “(Expletive) you (expletive).” The man, who was intoxicated, then fell down and when police arrived an ambulance was called and the man given medical assistance.
6A 40-year-old Glendale woman was cited for theft after she was seen putting two Nike headbands valued at $25 into her purse and walking out of Kohl’s, 1050 N. Port Washington Road, at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 11. When stopped, she said she made a “stupid mistake.”
7A 22-year-old Utah man was cited for OWI, possession of marijuana, refusal to take a breath test and given a correction notice for expired registration and warned for speeding 35 mph in a 25 mph zone in the 200 block of West Washington Street at 11:50 p.m. Aug. 15. The man, who denied drinking, had a vaporizer with a waxy substance residue.
