Erik S. Hanley

A thousand words are worth infinite pictures.
My name is Erik S. (Stephen) Hanley. I’m a red-headed Irishman with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin -- Milwaukee, majoring in Journalism with a minor in Political Science. Currently, I'm the South NOW reporter covering Oak Creek and Greendale as well as the Ozaukee NOW reporter covering Mequon and Thiensville.

The first time I was published was in a college literary magazine -- the MATC Phoenix -- and my short story won an award. I have self-published stories on Barnes and Noble's Nook Store. I interned at while in college where I covered various news stories and features. As a freelancer, I've also been published in the Waukesha Freeman, Irish American Post, Media Milwaukee and in the MATC Times newspaper. Way back in high school, I was the Editor-in-Chief of our school paper -- the Shoreland Navigator.

My hobbies outside of writing include: Bible study, hiking, mountain biking, bushcraft, reading, playing Halo, archery, walking, and researching -- I'm always trying to learn and better myself.
